The Political Job Interview is a podcast hosted by Vincenzo Calla, who takes on the role of “the boss” giving job interviews to election candidates from all levels of government, from all political backgrounds.

The interviews are usually 15 to 20 minutes in length, and in each episode, the same questions are asked to each guest, varying if they are new or returning. They are as follows:

New Candidates

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself and your story?

2. Why have you decided to run for this position?

3. What experience do you bring to this job?

4. What sets you apart from all of the other candidates?

5. What is something that the people you would like to serve need that you would like to get done if elected?

6. What is one accomplishment that you have achieved that demonstrates why you will be a good elected official if the people choose you?

Re-Election Candidates

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself and your story?

2. Why have you decided to run for re-election?

3. What experience from your time in office makes you the most qualified to be re-elected?

4. What sets you apart from all of the other candidates?

5. What is something that the people you would like to serve need that you would like to get done if re-elected?

6. What is one accomplishment that you have achieved during your time in office that demonstrates why you continue to be the best choice for your constituents?
